Camp Awesome at Ooltewah’s Fit One Complex will begin Tuesday, with another session beginning Dec. 5.

The Ooltewah Owls will host the Farragut Admirals Nov. 6 at 7 p.m. in a first round football playoff game.

Hamilton Place Mall Christmas Parade will be Nov. 5 at 6:30 p.m. It's a fun parade and goes around the inner ring of the mall.

The Ooltewah High School football team will travel to Cleveland Oct. 23 to play the Blue Raiders of Cleveland High School. The football Owls are 8-0 this year. Kickoff will be at 7:30 p.m. If you can't make the trip, you can listen to the game on 105.1-FM ESPN Radio.

Ooltewah United Methodist Church Trunk or Treat will be Oct. 25 from 3 to 5 p.m. on the OUMC campus behind Bi-Lo.

Greenwood Baptist Church will celebrate its 100-year anniversary this weekend.

The second Zaxby's Ooltewah High School Fall Golf Classic will be Oct. 19 at The Champions Club golf course.

Local Jostens representative Beth Mahaffey was awarded her company's 2009 Elmer Duerst Award. The award represents professionalism and dedication to serving schools. Beth and her husband Billy Joe reside here in Ooltewah.
