DUNLAP: Update for Chamber website approved

The bid for an update on the Sequatchie County-Dunlap Chamber of Commerce website has been approved by the City Commission and Video Ideas in Chattanooga will rebuild the site on the current web address. The reconstruction will be in two phases and, when completed, will contain video with sound and be in hi-definition format. Links to all existing sites will be continued with new links added that should make it easy to find the Chamber from any location. Phase one should be viewable in about four weeks.

DUNLAP: Beware possible scam in town

The Sequatchie County-Dunlap Chamber of Commerce has received information concerning an automobile company called “Any Credit Car Sales” that is supposed to be located here in Dunlap.

DUNLAP: New computer workstation available at chamber

The Sequatchie County-Dunlap Chamber of Commerce has received a computer workstation that includes Skype, enabling students to interact through computer video from the Tennessee Small Business Development Center.

The county executive and I met with Paul Goode, a field representative from U.S. Sen. Bob Corker’s office who serves the valley.

Summertime is calling. Lemonade, summer camp, festival, fish fries and all the outdoor living we can stand is ahead. Soddy-Daisy High School is planning its annual cheerleading camp June 7-10. The Sequatchie County High School Alumni Banquet will be held Saturday at the school.

April showers may bring May flowers, but all students and teachers can see is the end of school on its way.

DUNLAP: Craft Fair at Cagle Community Center

A Craft Fair will be held Saturday and Sunday at Cagle Community Center from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. A light lunch, desserts and beverages will be available.
