Tennessee Valley Theatre in Spring City will present the drama “Twelve Angry Men” Sept. 11 through 20. Showtimes are Fridays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. and are $8 per person. Saturdays feature dinner at 6:30 p.m., followed by the play.

The Spring City Chamber of Commerce will hold the annual Fall Craft Fair on Sept. 12. The fair will be held on the Depot Lawn Downtown Spring City from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be local crafts and food vendors as well as artisans from around the state. The Chamber office and the Spring City Historical Museum and Depot will be open during fair hours. Call the Chamber for more information at 423-365-5210.

Tennessee Valley Theatre in Spring City will present the drama “Twelve Angry Men” Sept. 11-3 and 18-20. The drama depicts a jury forced to reconsider its nearly unanimous decision by the single dissenter who sows a seed of reasonable doubt. The 12 men must unanimously render a verdict of guilty or not guilty.

The 2009 Fall Craft Fair is scheduled for Sept. 12 on the Depot Lawn in downtown Spring City. The event will happen from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., with lots of crafts and food vendors. Vendor spaces are still available.

The Tennessee Valley Theatre will present Dinner & Dance with the Ralph Miller Quintet on Aug. 8. The group plays a variety of listening, dance and ballroom dance music that includes classic and modern big band swing, Latin and waltz tunes. Sure to be a memorable evening out. The Spring City Chamber of Commerce is gearing up for the 2009 Laymon Memorial Poker Run that is scheduled for Aug. 22 in memory of Preston & Pat Laymon. This event will take place at the Nature Park in Spring City located at the north end of Front Street. This is a fundraiser where all proceeds go to Toys for Children, a Christmas charity.

The Independence Day celebration, “Shake the Lake,” will be July 3 at Veterans Park in Spring City. There will be all day events, games for the kids, live music and lots of good food. Tennessee Valley Theatre in Spring City will conduct three concurrent theatrical workshops on June 27, from 9 a.m. to noon. The three workshops are acting for youth (12-19 years), acting for adults and lighting/set design. For reservations, call 365-PLAY. The workshops are free, but classes are limited to 15 people.

Rain or shine, Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency and The Town of Spring City present the Chuck Copeland Memorial Kids Free Fishing Rodeo June 6 at the Veterans Park in Spring City. Fishing time is 9 a.m. to noon, with registration beginning at 7:30 am. Kids can bring their own fishing rods or borrow one from TWRA that day. There will be hotdogs, drinks, snacks and bait for the kids to fish with. There will also be numerous door prizes. Please call 423-476-1404 for more information. This fishing rodeo is for kids 12 and younger.
