The Collegedale American Legion is having a spaghetti dinner fund raiser Sept. 27 from 3 to 7 p.m. at Collegedale City Hall. Tickets are $5. Funds go to support local projects in the community.

Thanks again to everyone who has e-mailed, called or stopped us at the grocery. My wife, Leanne Barto, is doing great from the surgery and is ready for chemotherapy, which will last the next 24 weeks.

The mayor asked for a confirmation vote Monday night at the commission meeting to confirm Drucilla Glass and C.L. Melenyzer to the planning commission. The commission also confirmed David Barto as chairman of the Collegedale Advisory Board.
