On Sept. 12, from 1 to 5 p.m., County Commissioner Warren Mackey, City Councilman Manuel Rico and School Board Representative George Ricks will host the Calvin Donaldson Community Gala, located at 927 W. 37th St. in Alton Park.
The purpose is to enhance the relationship between the school and the community and to showcase the campus and community garden in a fun, family-oriented event. This free event will offer activities and games that will engage all ages and much more. Greg's Southern Soul will cater and Latin band Tropical Swing will entertain with salsa lessons and a limbo contest.
