St. Elmo residents interested in learning how to waltz may do so by participating in a new series of classes taught by Byl Butler. The St. Elmo Waltz Society will hold classes at the South Community Recreation Center, 1151 West 40th St., beginning Oct. 24. The classes are scheduled each Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and the dance studio has mirrored walls that help with instruction. Registration for all classes begins at 10:30 a.m., so get your dancing shoes out and learn to waltz.
