LOOKOUT VALLEY: Recreation center features multiple activities

As always, there are many fun filled family activities available at the John A. Patten Recreation Center, including a full size gym, arts center and education, arts and culture company, sponsored Pottery Studio, weight room, auditorium, dance studio, recording studio, reading center, a walking path, quilting room, community meeting rooms, game room, ballfields and recycling center. The new playground should be completed within the next few weeks. For more information, call Jim Long at 825-5955.

If you're looking for excitement this weekend, visit the Chattanooga Nature Center. According to a pamphlet from the CNC, there are 35 native animals to view, a forest boardwalk and hiking trails. Come nose-to-nose with four red wolves. Get eye-to-eye with a bald eagle, hawks and a variety of owls.. For more information, contact Tina Harvey Crawford at 821-1160.
