COLLEGEDALE: Flea market this weekend

Oct. 25, there will be excitement in the air! Yes, it is time again for the Seventh Day Adventist flea market, put on by the Collegedale VFW Post. They say they start at 8 a.m., but everyone knows to get the good deals, you need to be on the ground by 7 a.m. It looks like it is going to be a nice day.

Over the years, a lot of different folks have kicked around an idea of a Collegedale museum. A lot of interesting souls have lived in this town, from the Longelys, to the Tallents, the Bowens, the Fullers and the Mckees, just to name a handful, whose families would be worth remembering. Several people have unique and interesting antique collections which could be rotated into such a museum if it were built or it might even be a room set aside in City Hall. E-mail me if you have any thoughts on this. It could be interesting to see if we could get some interest.
