ALTON PARK: Residents form relaxation group

Residents of Emma Wheeler homes have taken the initiative to plan bi-weekly group gatherings at the Piney Woods Resource Center. The ladies who have organized themselves call this get together Fantastic Friday. It started with an impromptu crochet lesson by Valerie Kimbrough, with teaching others how to crochet as part of an idle hands, idle minds concept. “Its a way for us to relax our minds and bodies," Vickie Ollie said. Other activities, such as a spa day, are currently being planned for the group. If you would like to be a part of this group, contact Vickie Ollie at 825-7361.
