CSBC hosts fall festival Oct. 28

Members of Cloud Springs Baptist Church are reaching out to the community by hosting a fall festival Oct. 28. Families are welcome to gather at the church beginning at 6 p.m. for a wide variety of activities.

“It’s really an outreach to the community,” said youth minister Mitch Norman. “What we honestly hope is to see people come who don’t normally attend church. We want them to visit us, get to know our people and ultimately grow to know Jesus Christ. That's the main thing.”

From 6 to 8 p.m. those who visit the festival can participate in cake walks, face-painting and a variety of games. There’s no admission to get into the festival, but a chili cook-off and other concessions will be on site during the evening to help raise money for the children’s ministry at CSBC.

“We take our kids to camp every summer and that can get costly,” Norman said. “The money we bring in from the concessions at the festival will go to a good purpose.”

Costumes are welcome and children will get to participate in a trunk-or-treat during evening.

“We just want people to come out and have a great time with us and their families,” Norman said. “We'll have plenty of free candy and fun.”
