The Covenant College Concert Series continues this month with the Alison Brown Quartet performing on Oct. 30 at 8 p.m. Alison Brown is a three time Grammy nominee, as well as a Grammy winner for her Fair Weather release on Compass Records. Alison Brown is a champion banjo player of the highest caliber, who has pushed banjo playing far beyond its familiar Appalachian settings into new musical territory. Her unique acoustical sound is truly American roots music, blending elements of folk, bluegrass and jazz.
