Oct. 16, Central High will celebrate Homecoming as the Pounders take on the Tyner Rams. The candidates for homecoming king are Ryan Adams, Tyler Cranford, Cade Crawford, Jackson Medley and Preston Womack. The candidates for homecoming queen are Emily Lawrence, Casey Reese, Shavon Silver, Suzanne Williams and Hannah Yancey.
Cheer on The Central Sound of Chattanooga as they travel to Alcoa, Tenn., on Oct. 17, and Rome, Ga., on Oct. 24 to participate in marching band competitions. To raise money this year, the band is collecting used cell phones. Donation boxes will be set up at all home games.
