COLLEGEDALE: Hullander reminds community about Mckee

Oct. 7, I decided to have lunch with our local Kiwanis at City Hall. While I was there, our county commissioner Bill Hullander made a statement to the assembly with which I completely concur. He reminded us all that while we should be excited about Volkswagen, we should always remember the Mckee Foods Corporation, which employs more than 3,200 people locally and has been here for more than 50 years. I thought that was a good thought and one we should all take into account.

If you have seen the train bench on the Green Way, you can thank commissioner Hullander for the addition. It is meant for folks to be able to sit and watch the trains go by.
