For the fourth year in a row, Lakeview Fort Oglethorpe High School is hosting its Open Studio art classes thanks to a grant from the Creative Arts Guild.
“Anyone in the community at any level is welcome to come,” said instructor Wendy Morgan.
Currently, students are trying their hand at clay and ceramics with one session left to go Nov. 12. The sessions walk students through the different steps and techniques in hand-building and slip-casting Earthenware clay.
Stained Glass will begin Jan. 12 at Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe High School. The classes will meet in room 310 from 4-7 p.m. and are $8 per night or $35 per session which includes most supplies. To register for this class call 866-0342 or send e-mail to wmorgan.lfo@catoosa.k12.ga.us.
“People from age 2 up to 82 come out and we all just have a great time,” Morgan said. “That’s what this is really about — sharing art and having fun with people in our community.”
The next open studio will feature stained glass and starts Jan. 12 at LFO. Students will meet in room 310 and are encouraged to register early as space is limited. Classes are $8 per night or $35 per session which includes most supplies.
