Personal trainer Jana Machaskee is on a mission to inspire healthy living through her new business, Mobile Fitness.
“I think people are starting to think more about their health, whether they’re at the point of doing something about it or even thinking about doing something about it,” said Machaskee.
Having earned her certification from the American College of Sports Medicine, Machaskee is hard at work delivering fitness programs to the public in their private homes or at their places of business, worship or education as requested.
“(Mobile Fitness) is for people who don’t want to join a gym,” said Machaskee, citing the hang-ups that many people have about exercising such as time constraints or self-consciousness. “I offer a one-on-one individualized program to meet my clients’ needs.”
Machaskee offers her customers a wide variety of exercise options, as she will bring free weights, resistance bands, stability balls, Bosu Balance Trainers, medicine balls, kettle balls and mats to her sessions as needed. Clients may choose to engage in a number of fitness programs, as Machaskee will lead them in everything from cardiovascular routines, resistance training, flexibility exercises and core stability practices.

She also offers nutritional guidance and completes body fat and fitness assessments during her free consultations.
“I truly feel like exercise is medicine,” said Mackaskee. “Everyone wants to feel healthy but sometimes they need support to get started. It’s generally a happy environment (at work) because people are doing something good to take care of themselves.”
Machaskee offers 30-,45-, and 60-minute sessions to clients from 5:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Rates vary depending on the needs of each individual. She will work one-on-one or with small groups and plans to offer bridal boot camps in 2010.
