AAA Women’s Services is changing its name to Choices Pregnancy Resource Center to more accurately reflect the organization’s services, according to officials.
“The only people who are honestly pro-choice are the people who want women to have all the information,” said Patricia Lindley, Choices executive director.

AAA was founded in Chattanooga in 1985 to counsel women through unplanned pregnancies and teach them about alternatives to abortion.
The center also offers free pregnancy tests, free ultrasounds, information about STDs, birthing classes and parenting classes.
“The new logo is just kind of a facelift,” said director of advancement Stephanie Hernandez. “We’re not changing who we are.”
Hernandez said Choices counselors talk through every option with clients, including parenting, adoption and abortion.
“People automatically assume that we’re biased,” Hernandez said, “but we really do tell the truth and we really do give them all the information so that they can make an informed decision.”
Lindley said Choices exists to educate the community. She said the organization’s new name will help make it more visible to women looking for answers.
Choices Pregnancy Resource Center is located at 615 Houston St downtown and 6232 Vance Road in East Brainerd.
