COLLEGEDALE: Recycling center opens

Hurray for the City of Collegedale and County Commissioner Bill Hullander because the Collegedale Recycling Center opened Tuesday at 1 p.m. It will be open most days from 1 to 4 p.m., except Mondays and Thursdays. Recyclables excepted will be 1 and 2 plastics, newsprint, mixed paper, steel cans and aluminum.

Another big thanks to Bill Hullander because he has procured some benches to go by the railroad tracks at the new city soccer fields for folks to sit and watch the trains go by. The city will provide a few cedar sticks so folks can whittle on them. This is a very big deal with our Yankee cousins.
