Fitness fanatics Kevin and Kristen Harvey are making it easy for local ladies to reinvent themselves as the new year begins.

Just in time for January resolutions, the Harveys present the public with a new makeover program to complement their Scenic City Adventure Boot Camp for Women.

“A lot of people, when they lose weight they start to experiment more with the fashion, makeup and beauty side,” said Mrs. Harvey, citing the motivation behind the Chattanooga Extreme Makeover project.

The 12-week transformation program begins Jan. 12 and comes complete with beauty advice from local gurus, fitness tips from Mr. and Mrs. Harvey and nutrition advice that will be made available through weekly tele-seminars.

A complimentary supermarket tour will also be thrown into the mix to teach the women how to make wise choices while browsing the grocery store.

“To educate them, that seems to get them the results quicker,” said Mrs. Harvey.

Though the boot camp is not essential to makeover success, it does stand to provide participants with the best possible outcomes.

“It’s all about maximum results in minimum time,” said Mrs. Harvey.

The boot camp sessions may be attended on a three-, four- or five-day per week basis. Offering a different workout session every day, the boot camp has been known to help women lose one to two dress sizes or five to 12 pounds over the course of four weeks.

Those who choose to sign up for three consecutive sessions of the four-week boot camps will receive the Extreme Makeover portion of the project free of charge. The makeover session on its own costs $129.

The boot camps are held in Hixson at the Harveys’ business, Live Active Personal Training, and also in Collegedale at City Hall.

Women participating in the makeover project will have the opportunity to share their progress with one another at the online community.

Participants achieving the most dramatic results will be rewarded with prize packages that will include teeth whitening coupons, makeup and hair gift certificates and boot camp vouchers.
